Welcome to Advanced Acting/ Advanced Tech/ Production Workshop. This class is team taught by myself and Mr. White and meets in the drama classroom. Students in this class are referred to as either the “first years” (typically but not exclusively our juniors) or the “second years” (seniors that have been in this class as a junior.)
All students are advanced theatre students. They generally do the same work, although there are some projects that are specifically for juniors and other that are specifically for seniors, no matter what “year” you are.
The class is project and portfolio based. Students learn to run the business aspects of a theatre program as well as the creative side. They are given projects and deadlines and are expected to take responsibility to complete projects thoroughly and on time. A high level of production is expected of each student. They are the “cream of the theatre crop” and are expected to maintain a level of academic excellence as well as uphold the high moral and ethical standards that the Stagelight Theatre is known for.
Feel free to contact me anytime regarding current projects or the grading system which is done on a daily basis by grade contract. For specific Stagelight Theatre information, see the link on my web page.
